Purchase Ledger Manager

You will be responsible for the preparation, accuracy and integrity of the purchase ledger department. You will maintain the accuracy of all purchase invoices, credit control, reporting processes and procedures. You will actively contribute to the delivery of the highest levels of service and demonstrate excellent financial capabilities.

Monday – Friday 9:00am-5.30pm

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Deal with all purchase enquiries
  • Monitor the cash flow and manage outstanding creditors on regularly basis
  • Assist property managers in relation to additional financial queries, projects or information as required
  • Process staff expenses
  • Matching, coding and processing a high volume of invoices on a daily basis
  • Processing cheques or BACS payments on a regular basis
  • Dealing with any payment or invoice queries that occur and ensuring all issues are resolved
  • File invoices & statements
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements
  • Assisting with month-end process and preparation of creditor reports
  • Implementing and operating new accountancy software
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Setting up and managing supplier accounts
  • Managing Petty Cash and office expenses

Core Competencies

  • Recognised accounting qualification / qualified by experience/part qualified/studying to a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
  • Significant experience in an accounting role
  • Proven ability to and handle confidential information and provide advice sensitive matters that may involve the general public and handling issues and queries with professionalism
  • Knowledge of accounting systems – Propman/Yardi/Sage/Qube
