Surveyor

To oversee and take responsibility for the day-to-day running and compliance of the Commercial, Retail & Leisure Property Portfolio. Assist in Pre-Development Strategies, mobilise new developments, ensure effective inter departmental communication for the benefit of our clients.

Monday – Friday 9:00am-5.30pm

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Oversee and manage the Residential & Mixed use asset management team on the day to day activities
  • Act as a single point of contact for the Client in respect of all matters relating to each property and ensure NPG is always acting within its delegated authority in accordance with business plan and the Client’s instructions
  • Procure the services as required from third party providers to deliver the Management Service and meet the Clients Objectives
  • Direct Client liaison and reporting on all aspects of Retail and/or Business Management
  • Attending periodic formal Client review meetings and presentations
  • Look to enhance the business by introducing and implementing new concepts and ideas
  • Lead on client engagement – Tenders, appointments & on-going management review
  • Review and report on Asset Compliance (H&S, Legal etc.)
  • Oversee & support the Financial Management of developments, Inc. service charge
  • budgets, year-end accounts, set up budgets, voids etc.
  • Monitoring & Management of Insurance
  • Work with the Customer Experience Team to ensure smooth and effective client
  • engagement
  • Ensure all Estate Strategies and Disaster Recovery documents are in place and up to date
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure developments maintain a high Standard
  • Work with the Placemaking team to ensure effective Community Plans/Engagement is
  • rolled out on developments where applicable
  • Input into the legal structures, Leases & Rent & Tenancies on new developments and
  • ensure developments are managed in accordance to the lease
  • Work with the consultancy and mobilisation team to ensure that Technical Strategies are
  • reviewed, and consideration is given to Design for Management
  • Mobilise and take handover of new developments always considering the Customer & Journey
  • Assist with Estate Strategies and Early Service Charge projections for new bids
  • Lead on property Reporting
  • Deal with any ad-hoc administrative, specialist projects or historic issues

Core Competencies

  • Commercial Chartered Surveyor – MRICS
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in residential/mixed use property management and ideally MRICS
  • Significant experience in Managing an array of asset classes (A1-A5 / B1-B7)
  • Experience managing complex multi-use, high profile developments
  • Proven ability to and handle confidential information and provide advice sensitive matters
  • that may involve the general public and handling issues and queries with professionalism
  • Knowledge of accounting & asset systems ideal – Propman/Yardi/Sage/Qube/Riskwise
